Destilladeras, Punta Negra & Burros
Are just a few of the beaches north of Bucerias and La Cruz, Destilladeras and Punta Negra to name just two of the marvelous unspoilt areas that can be found. Burros beach is very popular with the surfing crowd and is off the beaten path, find a local surfer to ask or stop at the surf shop on the road to Punta de Mita for more information.
Punta De Mita
20 minutes north of Bucerias by highway 200 or take a more relaxed coast road trip and take all the time in the world. A world-renowned resort destination with terrific restaurants and great local flair. Quaint Mexican village life mixes with international tourism, great access to deep-sea fishing and the nearby Islas Marietas.
35 minutes north on highway 200 or again you can take the coast road. A relaxed and very popular resort with both Mexican and International tourism all year round. Great beaches, Oceanside restaurants, small Posadas (hotels) and superb Surfing for the beginner.
Another 5 minutes north of Sayulita on highway 200. A small community choc full of small restaurants, great beaches and fine art from all over Mexico, as well as many expats who chose to live in Mexico with a more traditional flavor. 10 minutes south of Bucerias, International Golf resort and shopping, wonderful beaches and top class accommodation. Not to mention the home of Mexico’s Premiere tour operation, Vallarta Adventures.
5 minutes south of Bucerias, International shopping, cinema and local flavor, all combined in this small Mexican village. Take a quick 10-minute trip inland to visit San Isidro, San Clemente and San Vincente for some traditional Mexican life.
